IMPORTANT: Dilithion is EXPERIMENTAL open-source software developed with AI assistance. This software has NOT been professionally audited and may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. Use at your own risk.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website (dilithion.org), downloading the Dilithion software, running a Dilithion node, or using any Dilithion services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Dilithion.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and the Dilithion development team ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Nature of Dilithion

2.1 Open-Source Protocol Software

Dilithion is open-source protocol software released under the MIT License. We provide:

  • Node and wallet software
  • Mining software

2.2 What We Do NOT Provide

We explicitly do NOT provide:

  • Cryptocurrency exchange services (no fiat ↔ DIL trading)
  • Custodial wallet services (you control your own keys)
  • Investment advice or financial services
  • Guarantees of value, security, or functionality
  • Insurance or loss protection

2.3 Experimental Software

Dilithion is experimental software:

  • Developed with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude Code)
  • Has NOT undergone professional security audit
  • May contain unknown bugs or vulnerabilities
  • Based on relatively new post-quantum cryptography (CRYSTALS-Dilithium, standardized 2024)

3. Risks and Disclaimers

3.1 Financial Risks

WARNING: Cryptocurrency carries significant financial risk, including:

  • Total loss of funds: DIL may become worthless
  • Extreme volatility: Price may fluctuate wildly
  • No recovery: Lost private keys = permanently lost coins
  • No insurance: Funds are not FDIC insured or protected
  • Market risk: Limited or no liquidity may prevent selling

3.2 Technical Risks

  • Software bugs: May cause loss of funds

4. User Responsibilities

  • Your own decisions: All investment/mining decisions are yours alone

4.2 Prohibited Activities

  • Attempt to hack, attack, or disrupt the network
  • Deploy malware or botnets to mine without authorization
  • Manipulate markets or engage in fraud
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Reverse engineer the software (except as allowed by MIT License)

5. No Warranties or Guarantees

5.1 "AS IS" Software

Dilithion software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Security or error-free operation

5.2 No Guarantee of Value

We make NO representations or guarantees regarding:

  • Future value of DIL tokens
  • Exchange listing or liquidity
  • Network hash rate or security
  • Continued development or support
  • Adoption or success of the project

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall NOT be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or funds
  • Security breaches or hacks
  • Software bugs or errors
  • Network failures or attacks
  • Third-party actions (exchanges, miners, attackers)

6.2 Maximum Liability

In no event shall our total liability exceed AUD $100.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Dilithion development team, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of Dilithion software
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or regulations
  • Your violation of third-party rights

8. Australian Law Considerations

8.1 Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Victoria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

8.2 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or other applicable laws that cannot be excluded.

8.3 Tax Obligations
